Really good! Best BBQ I have had in VT.
Brisket is much better then bluebird, but not as good as you would get in Texas. Sauces were all really good, the tator tot nachos are REALLY good.
Service was quick and friendly. -

Not excited about this place. I have a rather varied palate and enjoy all types of food. I have an appreciation for a place that makes their own sauces and drinks and seasonings, etc. I appreciate farm to table. I appreciate locally owned.
I was REALLY hoping to find a hidden gem here and was anticipating their opening. I'm a big fan of the other BBQ place across town and was hoping this place would be the perfect other option.
The food was OK. It was edible. At least some of it was. I ordered half rack of ribs with the Mac, roasted cauliflower and pickles on the side. Excited to enjoy some good smoked ribs with lots of flavor, I was seriously disappointed when I discovered my ribs were bone dry. I mean stuck in your throat, can barely swallow dry. I had hoped some of their sauces would help get these down, so I tried the Carolina, sweet bbq and spicy bbq. All left me feeling strangely..... uncomfortable. They all had a odd, indiscernible flavor about them.
The ribs also lacked flavor. Zero smokey flavor, very bland seasoning.
My dining partner had a sandwich and tots. That, was far better than mine, however, the bun seemed a bit light and got soggy from the meat and slaw inside it. It looked like it may not make it through the meal without falling apart.
I want to love this place. The atmosphere was nice. Comfy seating. The temperature was perfect, especially with the warm, humid weather we have been experiencing. Our server was incredibly nice, although she did only check in on us once during our "first few bites". I hadn't had the chance at this point to try the ribs, so I couldn't tell her they were mediocre at best. Besides, we had waited for some time to get our food. I wasn't about to wait even longer to have it "made right".
We did tip our server 20% because she was very nice and can't control the quality of food. I also did not take home the leftovers. -

Brisket plate with a side of collard greens was excellent!
Assortment of house made sauces nicely accompanied the meal. Atmosphere is fun and the service was great, friendly staff! -

Solid four stars. Cornbread is spot on, flecked with jalapeno and, hallelujah, NOT a overly sweet muffin. Brisket a bit fatty, ribs a bit dry. Delicious collards and cornbread stuffing. Mac & cheese and beans were ordinary; white bread, unnecessary. No fewer than 6 sauces to choose from (OK, one is ketchup and another is Frank's, so really 4 sauces but technically 6). 16 taps, and fewer than 15 IPA's, which always makes me happy. Peach cobbler a disappointment - just a small triangle of cake; I mainly wanted it in order to sample some oak smoked ice cream on top, but they were out. We dropped over $90 on dinner for two, but that included three beers, an app and a dessert, in addition to two platters, with solid leftovers. Would love to come back - we barely scratched the surface of the menu.

They are open tonight. Food was great. Drinks solid. Try the margarita. Brisket and ribs. Tater tots dead on; served in a fry basket. Drive past McD and you're here.
